About
Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is a wonderful place to wander. Their ‘biomes’ range from desert to rainforest, and Himalayan mountains to Pacific islands. Most of the gardens are indoors, which makes it a great escape during those dreary winter days. Most of the paths are pretty wide, keeping them very accessible.
Other offerings include art exhibits; workshops on glass blowing; lots of other classes for kids and adults; and rotating exhibits featuring orchids, butterflies, and more.
Photo Policy
The Conservatory welcomes you and your camera… with some reservations. Taking pictures of the flora and fauna is encouraged, but they reserve the right to limit tripod use. Traveling exhibits may have their own photo policies. Photos including the permanent collection of Dale Chiculy glass work is prohibited in commercial use (as far as I can tell). You can use the Conservatory for professional photography (weddings, senior portraits, etc), but you must book a time in advance, and there is a fee. See more details on times, fees, and more here.
